Easter in the Southern Tier- Family Friendly Activities
I’m so excited for Easter this year- while it won’t be our son’s first, it will be the first that we’re able to do fun events with him because he was only two months old this time last year. If, like my family, you’re also looking for fun things to do with your littles this Easter, here are some events happening in and around Binghamton.
Two Rivers Assembly ‘Eggsplosion’
Looking for a massive Easter Egg Hunt? Two Rivers Assembly will host an ‘Eggsplosion’ with over 20,000 eggs for your little ones to find! Eggsplosion will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2016 (Easter Sunday) 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 11:30am church service. Only people who register online and attend a church service (either 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am) will be allowed to attend. The time you’re registering for is the time of the church service you’ll be attending. The location of the Eggsplosion won’t be announced until you’re at Two Rivers Church that Sunday. Children’s Charity Easter Egg Hunt
Binghamton Zoo Eggstravaganza
Binghamton Zoo will host an Easter Eggstravaganza on March 26th and 27th from 12pm-3pm. Kids will be given an Easter bag and will be allowed to search the zoo for multi-colored eggs that at the end of their hunt can be turned in for candy and prizes. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be crafts, games, and face painting. Admission rates apply for Easter Eggstravaganza ($6 for members, $8 for non-members).
Endicott Elks Breakfast
An Easter Sunday breakfast buffet will be served to the public at the Endicott Elks from 8am until 11am on Sunday, March 27th. Admission is $7.50 for adults, Children 5-12 are $4.00 and kids under 5 are free. The buffet will feature eggs cooked to order, (scrambled or fried), home fries, bacon, toast, pancakes, French toast, juices and coffee.
Apple Hills Easter Egg Hunt
Apple Hills will host an indoor Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19th from 9am-12pm. Cost is $8 per child. All you pick Easter egg fields are age and prize appropriate.
Discovery Center Eggstra-Special Egg Hunt
The Discovery Center’s Annual Eggstra-Special Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 19th. All activities start at 11am and are free with museum admission (members are $4, non-members are $8). There will be a Bunny Hop Dance Party from 1pm-2:30pm, followed by the egg hunt.
Easter at the Coal House
Easter at the Vestal Coal House happens on Sunday, March 20th from 1:00pm-3:00pm! Take your camera to get pictures of your littles with the Easter Bunny who will be handing out candy to everyone who comes to see him. There will be a free kids run with prizes at 1:30pm and the cafe will be open for snacks.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 12th from 8am-11am at Endwell United Methodist Church-3301 Watson Boulevard in Endwell. The kids can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny as well as take part in an Easter egg hunt, crafts and activities. Admission is $6 for adults, kids are $4 and little ones under 5 are free.
Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
Memorial Park Baptist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26th at 12pm. The church is located at 1013 Front Street in Vestal. Kids in 6th grade and under as well as their parents and grandparents are invited. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
