Easter in the Southern Tier: Family Friendly Activities
As the weather warms up and flowers start to bloom, we’re reminded that Easter is only a few weeks away. If you’re looking to make this Easter extra fun for your family, here are some events happening across the Greater Binghamton area that you might like to check out:
Saturday April 19th
- Looking for a massive Easter Egg Hunt? How about one that features 20,000 eggs? Two Rivers Assembly is holding a huge Easter Egg hunt for kids 2-11 years old at Otsiningo Park on April 19th from 10am-1pm. Pre-registration is reqired and can be done here. In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, kids will enjuoy a bounce house, games, concessions and more. Pre-register here.
- The Second Annual Children’s Charity Easter Egg Hunt will kick off at 11am at Recreation Park in Binghamton. This event is free of charge and there will be three age categories: 3 and under, 4-6 and 7-10. Refreshments will be provided and the Easter Bunny will be hopping by to greet and take pictures with children.
Sunday April 20th
- The Binghamton Zoo will host an Easter Eggstravaganza on Sunday, April 20th from 12pm-4pm. Kids will be given an Easter bag and will be allowed to search the zoo for multi-colored eggs that at the end of their hunt can be turned in for candy and prizes. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be crafts, games, and face painting. General admission rates apply for Easter Eggstravaganza ($7 Adults, $6 Seniors, students, and military, $5 Children 3-11)
- An Easter Sunday breakfast buffet will be served to the public at the Endicott Elks from 8am until 11am. Admission: is $7.50 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for kids under 4. The buffet will feature French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and much more.
