Easter in the Southern Tier – Family Friendly Activities
I'm exceptionally excited for Easter this year. No, this isn't our first Easter with our son, but each year that John grows older, the more fun we have with him when holidays roll around. If, like my family, you're also looking for fun things to do with your littles this Easter, here are some fun events happening in and around Binghamton.
Looking for a massive Easter Egg Hunt? Two Rivers Assembly will host an Easter egg hunt with 15,000 eggs for your little ones to find! The hunt will be held on Sunday, April 1st (Easter Sunday) immediately following each church service. There will be three church services, all the same, at 8:30am, 10:00am, & 11:30am. The egg hunts will begin at approximately 9:35am, 11:05am, and 12:35pm. The hunt is free and open to the public, but only kids who register and attend a church service will be allowed to participate. The Children’s Charity Easter Egg Hunt will kick off at 10am at Recreation Park in Binghamton on Saturday, March 31st. This event is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided and the Easter Bunny will be hopping by to greet and take pictures with children.
The Binghamton Zoo will host an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 31st and Sunday, April 1st from 10am-3pm. Your kids will have the opportunity to participate in an egg hunt, make crafts, meet the Easter bunny and enjoy many other cool things. Admission rates apply.
The Discovery Center’s Annual Eggstra-Special Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 24th. All activities start at 10am and are free with museum admission. There will be a Bunny Hop Dance Party, Egg Hunt, and lots more. Admission rates apply.
Memorial Park Baptist Church will host a community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31st starting at 10:30am. The church is located at 1013 Front Street in Vestal and eggs will be hidden all around the church for your little ones to find.
The Town of Vestal will hold a free Easter egg hunt at Arnold Park on Saturday, March 24th starting at 11am. This hunt is for ages 10 and younger.
The West Windsor Baptist Church will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 31st from 1pm-3pm. The church is located at 166 North Road in Windsor. This event is free for kids ages 12 and younger.
The Roberson Museum hosts an exciting Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 31st from 11:30am to 3pm. There will be crafts, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt, which will kick off at 12pm sharp. Admission rates apply.
The Phelps Mansion Museum, at 191 Court Street in
Binghamton will host a family workshop from 10am-12pm on Saturday, March 24th where you'll be able to make a variety of Easter eggs to take home. Admission rates apply, and you do need to register.
On Saturday, March 24th from 10am-1pm, Target in Vestal will host an in-store Easter Scavenger Hunt. There will be giveaways, treats, and crafts for the kiddos.
