Easter in the Southern Tier- Family Friendly Activities
I'm so excited for Easter this year- while it won't be our son's first, but each year that he grows older, the more fun we have with him when holidays roll around. If, like my family, you're also looking for fun things to do with your littles this Easter, here are some fun events happening in and around Binghamton.
Looking for a massive Easter Egg Hunt? Two Rivers Assembly will host an Easter egg hunt with 15,000 eggs for your little ones to find! The hunt will be held on Sunday, April 16th (Easter Sunday) 30 minutes after the conclusion of the final church service (which is at 1pm). Only kids people who register online and attend a church service will be allowed to attend. Learn more and register here.
The Children’s Charity Easter Egg Hunt will kick off at 11am at Recreation Park in Binghamton on Saturday, April 15th. This event is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided and the Easter Bunny will be hopping by to greet and take pictures with children.
Binghamton Zoo will host an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16th from 10am-3pm. Your kids will have the opportunity to participate in an egg hunt, make crafts, meet the Easter bunny and enjoy so many other cool things. Admission rates apply.
Apple Hills will host an indoor Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th from 9am-12pm. Cost is $8 per child and all the you-pick Easter egg fields are age and prize appropriate. This event is for kids ages 1-15.
The Discovery Center’s Annual Eggstra-Special Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8th. All activities start at 11am and are free with museum admission (members are $4, non-members are $8). There will be a Bunny Hop Dance Party from 1pm to 2:30pm with an Egg Hunt at 2:30pm.
The Vestal Coal House is celebrating Easter with the Southern Tier Animal Rescue Network by hosting a Bunny Run 5K & Festival on Saturday, April 15th from 11:00am - 1:30pm. The Bunny Run 5K will start at 11am. After the run, there will be entertainment for the whole family as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny. Memorial Park Baptist Church will host a community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15th starting at 10:30am. The church is located at 1013 Front Street in Vestal and eggs will be hidden all around the church for your little ones to find.
The Town of Vestal will hold a free Easter egg hunt at Arnold Park on Saturday, April 8th starting at 11am. This hunt is for ages 10 and younger.
The Town of Kirkwood typically hosts an Easter egg hunt the weekend before Easter (April 8th) at River Park. Kids can hunt for eggs, and might even spot the Easter bunny. For more, reach out to the Town of Kirkwood at 607-775-1885.
