A new study shows that drivers are doing a whole lot more than selfies while behind the wheel.

New research conducted by AT&T and Braun Research shows that 63% are texting and emailing, 33% are checking social media sites, 14% on their Twitter and 28% of drivers said they surf the web while they drive.

The study, which surveyed 2,067 people in the U.S. aged 16 to 65, looked at the way those people use their smartphone and drive and it shows at least once a day. The survey is also a part of AT&T's "It Can Wait" campaign, a major effort that has brought awareness to distracted driving since its 2010 launch.

About 17% of the studies participants admitted to snapping selfies or pictures while driving, and one in 10 said they have video chats while driving.
