As soon as the weekend arrived Friday at 5, downtown Binghamton came alive with events, including a closed off State Street in the city's art district with live music highlighting the popular First Friday Art Walk.

Families were searching for parking spaces with kids in hand as they head to the Arena for the Shrine Circus in town through Sunday.  Glenn & Emily from the Hawk Morning Show will be honorary ring masters Sunday at 3pm.

The red hot Binghamton Mets are home playing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats with afternoon games Saturday 1:05 and Sunday 1:06pm.

On a picture perfect Saturday morning in Binghamton, hundreds of people are preparing for Sunday's Bridge Run, picking up their starter packs at the nearby Metro Center.  The BC Humane Society was on hand, hoping to get some interest from the large crowd for possible adoptions.

Binghamton Bridge Run is Greater Binghamton's premier running event, and features a USATF certified half marathon and 5K races.  An estimated 2200 people are expected to run through the streets of Binghamton and across the picturesque bridges that line the cityscape.

Music lovers will enjoy the Binghamton Pops Series, "Lights, Camera...the Oscars" Saturday night 7:30-9:15pm at the Broome Country Forum Theater.  Tickets are still on sale at the box office up until show time.

The historic Phelps Mansion Museum on Court Street presents a Civil War play, based on the historic novel, "Dear Friend Amelia," 2pm at the museum.  PhelpsManion.org for more information.
