Dog Walks 20 Blocks to Find Owner

I doubt that you'll ever again underestimate the bond that dogs have with their humans after hearing this story.

64-year-old Nancy Franck of Iowa is battling cancer and has been in the hospital while her miniature Schnauzer, Sissy has has been home, missing her something awful. Until one night recently.

Sissy the pup decided to run away from home to find her owner. Amazingly, the little dog somehow ended up at the hospital which is located 20 blocks away, and was caught on surveillance camera sniffing around the hallways looking for Nancy.

Nancy's husband, Dale, says, "She was on a mission that night to see her mom but she couldn't find the right elevator to take." A security guard who grabbed Sissy found Dale's phone number on her collar and called him. It was 5 in the morning and Dale was shocked that the pooch somehow found her way to the hospital.

And to make the ending of this story even sweeter, once hospital staff realized that was happening, Dale was allowed to take Sissy to see Nancy.
