DIY Vertical Pallet Garden and Other Uses for Wood Pallets
March 14, 2013 11:40 AM It’s funny the subjects that are touched on when visiting the hairdresser. Yesterday as I sat in my hairdresser’s chair wearing a helmet of foil, the topic of wood pallets came up. Chrissy asked if I knew of anyone who had some wood pallets. I said I did. Because I do. Chrissy’s face lit up with hope I’d give mine to her. No. I don’t share my wood pallets.
See, I’m into re-purposing wood pallets as much as my hairdresser is. Right now my pallets are in my basement protecting my dozens of boxes of books from the floor, but mark my word- once I install some shelving, I’m going to start making cool things with my wood pallets.
I wish I had a small space of my own at my house because the very first thing I’d do is make a vertical pallet garden. But I don’t even have so much as a 3 foot by 3 foot outdoor space of my own. And that’s sad. However, if you do- you might want to check out this idea. This is something that you could make if you’ve got an apartment with a balcony or a huge yard. Just as long as you’ve got a little space of your own:
