I bet you’ve driven by the Bundy Museum on Main Street in Binghamton a million times and not given it a second glance, but this home holds a whole ton of interesting history- history that’s impacted the entire world.

The Bundy Museum (an incredibly fascinating place) has teamed up with Binghamton Comedy to presents “Rooted in Laughter: A Stand-Up Retrospective.” This exhibit will open on Friday September 5th in the Bundy second Floor Gallery from 6-9pm during the First Friday Art Walk. This exhibit will feature a detailed history of stand-up comedy and it's origins as well as portraits of iconic performers who are considered trailblazers for stand-up comedy.

Local artists will participate in the exhibit including NEAL, AmArA, Brian Micholychak, Paul Flatfish, Jules Gotay, Amber Jacobson, Rick Iacovelli, Bryan Riek and others. These artists will also be featured in the second annual Binghamton Comedy and Arts Festival which will take place September 12th through the 14th.

And if you’re not able to make it to the Bundy Museum for "Rooted in Laughter: A Stand-Up Retrospective," it’s definitely worth your time to visit on another day. I took my brother, sister-in-law and nephew last year and we had so much fun. You can read about our adventure, learn the significance of the Bundys and see pictures of the museum here.
