Are you prepared in the event of a natural disaster?  If you're like me, the answer may be no.  It's on my list along with making a will.  Both are things that should be a priority just in case.

Most of us would never think of seeking out a disaster drill which would help you make plans in the unlikely case of disaster such as a natural disaster, a multiple car crash or even a stage collapse; hey, it happened to the country group Sugarland in 2011.

SUNY Broome students will find out what it's like to be better prepared when they tackle their annual Mock Environmental Disaster drill on Friday May 6th, 2pm near the athletic fields and walk path between the Decker Health Sciences building and the Applied Technologies Building.  It's a learning event and there is no emergency.

According to the school press release, "students from more than 18 departments across campus including:  Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice and Emergency Services, Nursing, Health Information Technology, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Clinical Laboratory Technologies, Marketing and Communications, Communications and Media Arts, Hospitality, Business Information Technology, Chemistry and Public Safety," along with Chenango Fire Department, Tioga County and Broome County Health Departments will take part in this valuable drill.
