The Binghamton Mets are off today. Tomorrow (6/7), they'll begin a 6 game homestand at NYSEG Stadium. Are debating which day to go? I say every day possible. However this is one game that I highly recommend you go to.

It's Friday June 10th. Not only because it's a Fireworks Night and the mascot "Mrs. Met" will be there. It's also DIFD - Power to the Purple Night.

The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) will be turning the stadium purple. So wear purple to the game and show your support for youth mental health. After the fireworks are over, everyone wearing purple are invited onto the field for a photo.

For those who don't know, DIFD was formed by the MHAST in honor of Daron Richardson. She was 14 when she died by suicide. Daron's parents Luke and Stephanie decided to transform their very private pain and turn into a public call to action.

Purple was Daron's  favorite color. To find out more about DIFD and Power to the Purple, go here.

You can get discount tickets to Friday night's game that benefit MHAST. Go here and use promo code "DIFD." You can also call 723-METS (6387) and ask for the DIFD benefit tickets.

LET'S GO MET'S and let's go to the game on Friday.
