Have you ever wondered what the holidays are like with your favorite country stars?  Sunday night 7-10pm, you can find out what Christmas was like with Dierks Bentley, his wife Cassidy and three little kids. Dierks shares some priceless stories with 'Country Countdown USA' on 98.1 The Hawk.

The Christmas holidays also marked Dierks & Cassidy's tenth wedding anniversary.  "We were supposed to celebrate our 10th anniversary.  We had epic plans, we were going to Sedona Arizona, all we wanted was 18 hours alone.  Course all the kids got sick.  It was unbelievable.  We haven't had a chance to do that yet.  We hate being away from our kids.  They still like us!  So one day we'll go to Jamaica."

Just before the holidays, it was announced that Dierks will co-host this year's Academy of Country Music Awards with Luke Bryan. "When Blake decided to take a break, Luke called me.  It was pretty simple.  I think they were looking for someone who's a friend, and we'll see if they made the right decision.  Maybe it's because Blake set the bar so low, no, I'm kidding. It's going to be great.  As long as we have a few drinks, what can go wrong?  I've watched how Luke prepares.  We have the same style, so it should be fun."

The other bit of news last week is that Dierks will open a Whiskey Row Bar in Nashville next year.  "This will be our third location, the first outside of Arizona. It'll be a chance for me to have my own bar on lower Broadway where I got my first start, where I lived for many years.  Whiskey Row is very unique from everything else down there."  How will this be different?  "I'll probably be there a lot, I want it to be a destination, where people will want to go and see live music.  It's a great building, and has a great vibe." When will it open?  "First half of 2017."

In the past, Dierks has said that he's a huge hockey fan.  So when the NHL All Star Game comes to Nashville in two weeks, Dierks will be taking part: "I think the only bigger hockey fan in my house is my son Knox."

Dierks also has great stories this week about Lady A's Charles Kelley, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Canaan Smith, and Florida Georgia Line.
