Country star Dierks Bentley sported a black suit and tie on the red carpet at the 2017 Grammy Awards Sunday night (Feb. 12).

Bentley was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his duet single,“Different for Girls," with Elle King. Other nominations for the category included “21 Summer” by Brothers Osborne, “Setting the World on Fire” by Kenny Chesney and Pink, “Think of You” by Chris Young and Cassadee Pope and winner “Jolene” by Pentatonix and Dolly Parton.

“Different for Girls” won the Musical Event of the Year honor at the 2016 CMA Awards and is the second single off of Bentley’s 2016 album Black.

In a pre-Grammy red carpet interview televised on CBS, Bentley made light of the song, which explores the difference between male and female emotions during heartbreak.

When Bentley was asked what he was going to tell his daughters about bad boys when they get old enough to date, Bentley replied,”I’m hoping them not to date. Just wait for as long as you can and then I’ll probably go to Elle and ask for some advice.”

Currently, Bentley is on the road for his 2017 What the Hell World Tour.
