Detoxing for the New Year

Eat Even More Fruits and Veggies



If you’ve been eating nothing but holiday junk foods for the past month, you really should try to step up your fruit and veggie intake. You want to try to get in somewhere between 7 and 12 servings. It sounds like a lot, but if you do, it’ll help you get all the vitamins and minerals that you’ve been missing out on for the past month.



Start Off Slowly at The Gym



A lot of people think as soon as the new year arrives that they need to attack the gym with a vengeance, but this isn’t a great idea. If you push yourself too hard on the first day you go back, you’re going to overdo it and be too sore to go back the next day and a lot of people just never go back.



Load Up on Water



Drinking water is going to be the fastest way for you to start feeling healthier because it’ll flush out all the icky toxins in your body. If you’re not sure how much water you should drink, here’s an easy formula: Divide your body weight by two and then drink that many ounces of water a day. So if you weight 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water a day.
