The Broome County Humane Society's 2016 Duck Derby is this Sunday, July 31st. Thousands of adorable rubber ducks racing (floating) down the Chenango River. It begins at noon behind the Holiday Inn Arena.

You can still get a duck to help the Broome County Humane Society. Tonight (7/26) my wife Dawn and daughter Riley will be tagging the ducks as they prepare for the race on Sunday.

Duck adoption begins at $5 for one duck, $25 for 6 (1 free). It goes as high as 50 ducks for $250 (20 bonus ducks). 1st place is $5,000, 2nd is $1,300 and 3rd is $700.

The goal is to sell 10,000 duck, it's just over 6,400 so they need your help. If you want to see the latest total of ducks sold, go here.

Sunday, I'll be helping with the event. Who knows, I may be dropping YOUR winning duck into the water. My daughter, Tara will be helping with the kid's games, so we hope you'll stop by and say "Hello and Howdy."
