Dating Site Leads to Life Saving Match
Swiping right on Tinder might not have resulted in a long-lasting romance, but it did create a match that very well could end up saving a woman's life.
Rich O’Dea met Jennifer Thomas through Tinder and the two arranged to go on a date. While getting to know each other, Rich mentioned that his best friend's wife, Erika, was in need of a kidney transplant and had been waiting on the donor list for three years, just waiting for someone with her very rate, O-negative blood type to donate.
In an amazing twist, Jennifer called Rich a week after their first date and told him that she was actually a match and that she wanted to help. Jennifer told ABC News, "All that happened was we had a conversation about it. He told me about her and I wanted to do something."
Love didn't blossom between Rich and Jennifer, but she decided to go through with the kidney donation and the surgery is scheduled for today.
