We told you last month that Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun was going to try something that his hero, Evel Knievel couldn't do. Eddie was going to try and jump Snake River Canyon in Idaho.

So over the weekend, he made the attempt. How did he do?

According to ABC News,  it was a success. It was expensive but it was a success.

Like Braun, I was a Evel fan as a kid. I loved his patriotic motorcycle suit. I loved that he would try to jump anything. So Eddie wanted to honor him with the jump.

When Evel tried it in 1974, he didn't make it because his parachute deployed early. He wanted to show that Evel would have made it otherwise. He was right.

It cost him $1.6 million dollars and he paid for it himself. When he was asked how the jump was. He responded by saying that, he was scared to death. It was so hot and uncomfortable.

When asked what he would do next. He said, "I've got to go get a job tomorrow because I just blew $1.6 million on a rocket. I have no money but, you know what, how do you put a price on something you are truly proud of?"

I was surprised that it wasn't on TV and very little fanfare was made about it. Congrats Eddie.
