Dangers of Leaving Electronics In Hot Sun [PHOTOS]

Living in the Greater Binghamton area all my life, I know the dangers of extreme heat in the Summer months.  We all know the dangers of keeping children and pets in a hot vehicle without proper ventilation, but how about your cell phone, tablet, digital camera, GPS or even your ipod?

The truth is, lithium batteries are found in most, if not all of these electronic devices.  This may also be why the US Postal Service will not ship electronic devices that contain lithium batteries.

I think these pictures will speak for themselves. Take a look and consider what could happen if extreme heat makes one of these batteries explode. Not a pretty picture at all.   This could be a lesson learned for everyone.
