Dan + Shay Take Over a Hawk Weekend

Dan + Shay played the Chemung County Fair earlier this month and made a lot of new friends as we heard many Hawk listeners checked out the show and loved the duo.  This Sunday they open for Darius Rucker at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York for a 7pm show with Michael Ray.

In many ways, Dan & Shay are living a dream.  The two grew up wanting to be singers and musicians, so they've achieved that dream.  But since they were teens, they both admired Rascal Flatts.  Now they not only know the trio, they even had a hand in their latest #1, "I Like The Sound of That."

Sunday night 7-10pm, Dan & Shay will co-host and count down the 30 biggest hits in country music on Country Countdown USA on the Hawk with some good stories about Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Chris Young, and Florida Georgia Line.

Dan + Shay had the opportunity to sing with another hero, Keith Urban at a festival last summer.  Another fun moment involved Chris Young, Shay, and a new hover board: "Chris & I hang out a lot in Nashville.  I had just got this hover board, and wanted to show off my new toy."

When Justin Bieber played Nashville earlier this summer, several country stars were in the audience, including Dan: "Our girlfriends wanted to go.  We went, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt, Kelsea, it was a good crew."
