I never was a big fan of Curt Schilling. I'm a Yankees fan and he was with Boston when he beat the Yanks while wearing a bloody sock. Since he's now retired, I've grown to  like him. Mostly because of his honest commentary about baseball and life. As a father, I'm totally on his side now.

We all know the good social media can do. Now, Curt Schilling is leading the charge to show the bad it can do.

He's thrown down the gauntlet after he went after and singled out two men who wrote offensive tweets in response to a tweet Schilling posted congratulating his daughter, Gabby, for getting into college:

He didn't blame the internet (take that fans of Net Neutrality) but blamed the people. That's a novel concept, blame the people who committed the crime, not make excuses.

I also liked his comments about being a dad. He said that he has 2 jobs, providing and protecting his family. What else is there?

I couldn't agree more. It also doesn't hurt that he's a Conservative, speaks his mind and he's proud of it. Thanks Curt.
