Courts Say You Can Now Serve Divorce Papers on Facebook

A Brooklyn woman named Ellanora Baidoo attained the judge’s approval to legally serve her husband divorce papers on Facebook. Single relationship status, here she comes!

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper, is allowing a nurse named Ellanora Baidoo to serve her husband with divorce papers in a Facebook message.

The husband (pictured), left and hasn't come back in years, no one can find him but he is active on Facebook.

“This transmittal shall be repeated by plaintiff’s attorney to defendant once a week for three consecutive weeks or until acknowledged (by her husband). I think it’s new law, and it’s necessary.” - Andrew Spinnell (Baidoo’s lawyer)
