Grand Ole Opry member and Country Music Hall of Famer Little Jimmy Dickens remains in critical condition today with an undisclosed illness after he was taken to a hospital on Christmas Day.

Jimmy celebrated his 94th birthday on December 19th and performed the following night at the Opry as part of his birthday celebration. He became a member of the Opry in 1948 and in 1983, was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Jimmy's list of hits include  classics such as "Country Boy," "Take An Old Cold Tater (and Wait)," "Out Behind the Barn" and "May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose."

His wife, family and the Opry issued a joint statement requesting prayers from his fans and friends.
