I am so proud to be a part of the country music community, working at the Hawk for nearly 28 years now.  Country music entertainers and fans always seem to come together in times of need and truly care about important issues like fighting childhood cancer.

Close to 800 country music industry leaders and more than a dozen country music artists, including Randy Owen, The Band Perry, Chase Bryant and  Sam Hunt, once again gathered in Memphis last week to show their support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I've been to Memphis to meet some of these inspiring children or St. Jude's Kids. The memories I have walking the halls of St. Jude's was one of the most powerful experiences of my life.  If I feel I'm having a bad day, I try to go back in memory and recall the conversations I had with some of these brave boys and girls and suddenly my problems seem miniscule. That's why for 26 years now, it's been one of my favorite charities.

I wanted to share a few of the photos from this year's program with the Band Perry and the man who has been the face of Country Cares for St. Jude's Kids for 26 years now, the incredible Randy Owen.
