Police from the Southern Tier are rising to the occasion....literally. It's called 'Cops On Top', an event in which police officers will be on roofs of various Dunkin Donut locations to help out the Special Olympics New York this morning.

Officers will be sitting on different Dunkin Donuts roofs today from 7am-11am including the DD store on Reynolds Road in Johnson City. 'Cops on Top' raises both awareness and funds for the Special Olympics New York.

Our very own Rich Birdsall will be at the Johnson City location across from the Oakdale Mall today from 8am-10am. While visiting with him you'll have a chance to meet Special Olympic athletes and their families.

The athletes will be at all participating locations. They would love to talk to you about the Special Olympics. Dunkin Donuts will be offering coupons for free coffee to everyone who makes a donation to Special Olympics.

So stop by any participating DD location as our local law enforcement have a rooftop sit-in....or is it sit-on.
