A cop's simple act of selfless kindness spotted by a stranger has garners much attention and praise from around the world.

Sergeant Erica Hay bought a Dunkin Donuts sandwich and a cup of coffee for a hungry homeless man she spotted outside a gas station, and rather than just handing him the food and walking away, she sat down and had breakfast with him.

A driver was stopped at a red light, noticed what was going on and snapped a photo. She posted it to Facebook and from there it went viral.

Hay is a 20-year veteran of a police force in Florida and  police force told “Fox & Friends” Monday, "I didn’t have anyone else to eat breakfast with that morning either. He was gracious enough to eat with me as well." She added, "He was hungry, and he appreciated it, and he’s a good person."
