I'm always looking for a good reason to golf...okay, any reason will do. It's even better though when it's for a good...no make that...a great cause. I would love to see you there.

It's the 7th Annual Claws & Paws Golf Tournament. It's happening Sunday, September 18th at Golden Oaks Golf Course in Windsor. It's a 1 o'clock Shot Gun start with dinner around 6pm.

It's 18 holes of golf, riding cart, gift bag, dinner and you could even win some prizes. You can also sponsor a hole for only $100. Can't make it for golf but want to come for dinner?

No problem, it's only $25. Once again, all the money raised stays in our area and helps the BC Humane Society. Besides golfing fun, they'll also have 50/50, basket raffles and more.

The BC Humane Society is an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization. We've adopted our two cats from them and we couldn't be happier.

They receive no government funding and rely solely on donations and fundraising events. They've done a Bowl-a-rama and a Duck Derby. Now you can golf and help them out at the same time.

My daughter Tara is saving up her money to try and win some goodies. She loves our cats and loves to help out the BC Humane Society as well.

You can go here to get your team in the tournament. You can also stop by the BC Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street in Binghamton for more info.

Yelling FORE to help our four legged friends sounds like a lot of fun to me. We hope to see you there.
