One fourth of Americans have already started their Christmas shopping, and another 20% will start next month, why do we start so early?

Many people are highly stressed about holiday shopping and I supposed the best way to alleviate the stress is to get it all over with in the summer months.

Early shopping gives people the chance to put some thought into the gifts they choose and many times get in on some early deals and save a little money.

Getting the majority of your holiday shopping done gives you a chance to sit back and enjoy the holiday season, without the stress of rushing out and fighting the crowds.

Buying gifts throughout the year can spread out the cash so that your not strapped for money during the holiday season.

Many people focus on buying for family members, while others go the distance and get gifts for their co-workers and friends too.

Even if you wait till the holiday season to shop you should set goals and times and give yourself a deadline to get your shopping done.

Some people pick a day of the week, or weekend and shop a little each time to get their holiday shopping done.

It is also recommended that you keep your purchased gifts in a specified spot in your home and label the gift with a piece of tape or something so that you can remember who gets that gift.

If you're worried about nosy members of your house hold you can always put gifts at another family members home just keep track of where they.

Many people stock up on booze and non perishables for the holiday too, planning meals and gatherings ahead of time can also make the holidays less stressful and more pleasant.

I'm not an early shopper, but I think I may be a little better in my planning and gift purchasing after preparing this blog.

Here's to a joyous and less stressful holiday season for all.
