It's only October, but the holiday spirit is all around — and Chris Young is spreading it. Young's new It Must Be Christmas album features a duet with Brad Paisley, "The First Noel," which the singer is sharing to help fans feel jolly.

The artists’ voices blend beautifully on the ballad, each with their low, smooth sounds coming together to create a memorable take on the song.  But "The First Noel" is just one of several impressive collaborations on the record. It Must Be Christmas also features songs with Alan Jackson and even R&B legends Boyz II Men. It includes two original songs from Young, as well — the title track and “Under the Weather."

“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time,” Young expresses in a press release. “Christmas is one of my favorite times of year and it was hard to narrow down the list of songs for this record. I’m excited to share my own versions of many of the standards I sang as a kid every year at Christmas, plus I had the opportunity to write a couple of original songs to celebrate the season.”

Young says this album has a special place in his heart, as his grandmother recently passed away. She would’ve loved the record, he adds, especially this track in particular.

“The one with Brad (Paisley),” Young tells Taste of Country. “‘The First Noel’ just turned out so beautifully on this record. I couldn’t have asked more from a collaboration with Brad.”

It Must Be Christmas dropped Oct. 14 and is now available on iTunes.
