So far, a nice looking weekend and once again a full weekend of events, including the Harvest Festival underway Saturday 1-7 at NYSEG Stadium.  Sunday at 2pm is a chance to make a big difference for those in need of food in the Southern Tier with the CHOW Hunger Walk.

All ages are invited to participate.  The 1.3 mile CHOW Hunger Walk will once again take place on the campus of Binghamton University beginning with opening remarks behind the East Gym.

CHOW (Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse) provides meals and food for thousands of needy families and individuals in the area.  CHOW is part of the Broome County Council of Churches.

Food collections are very much appreciated.  According to CHOW, they are in need of non-perishable items that will keep well on the warehouse shelves including:  baby formulas, cereal, pasta, canned soup, fruits and vegetables.
