It's a chili cook-off at Southern Tier Harley-Davidson, 1152 Upper Front Street, Binghamton on Saturday to benefit Hounds Helping Heroes. They provide such needed help for our service people.

Hounds Helping Heroes help veterans & active duty men & women who suffer from psychiatric, mobility and neurological disabilities with service dogs. They utilize rescued dogs in thei service dog training program that are thoroughly evaluated for temperament, stability, working drive, eagerness to please and trainability.

They provide a beneficial therapeutic outlet to our heroes and it also gives rescued dogs a second chance through rehabilitation, training and placement as an active service animal.

We have a rescue dog and we couldn't be happier with him. To find out more about Hounds Helping Heroes, go here.

So can you cook chili? Show off your stuff to the Southern Tier and help out this great cause. You can enter your chili at 11am for no fee. Starting at noon, you can enjoy all you can eat chili with a suggested five dollar donation. You can meet Veteran Speaker Ricky Yaroush.

I want to thank Hounds Helping Heroes and Southern Tier Harley Davidson for asking me to be a chili judge. I love sweet more than spicy. HINT HINT. I hope to see you there.
