Chenango County Man Charged With Rape and Menacing

A Columbus, New York man is accused of raping a woman twice in North Norwich.

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say 20-year-old Lukest Wahlberg is charged with rape and menacing in connection with the incidents February 15.

Deputies say Whalberg allegedly forcibly held down the victim two separate times and raped her. He’s also accused of holding a knife to the woman’s neck, menacing her on a separate day.

Whalberg was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $25,000 bail.
