I cannot wait for the annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode of The Simpsons to air this Sunday, and to make some noise about it, the show released an extended opening sequence, which was created with the help of GUILLERMO DEL TORO  the director behind the movies "Pan's Labyrinth", "Hellboy", "Pacific Rim" and "The Devil's Backbone".

The opening is almost three minutes long, and it references dozens of horror movies, including:  "The Birds", "The Shining"and"Phantom of the Opera".

H.P Lovecraft, Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock, Edgar Allan Poe and Ray Bradbury also have cameos! Check it out:
