Mother's Day is Sunday and it looks like it's going to be a nice day outside. Try something special and take her to the Zoo...and it won't cost you a cent for Mom.

Take a walk on the wild side and bring Mom to the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park. In recognition of all mom does, they are offering free admission for all mothers throughout the day.

That's just the beginning of events in May at the Zoo.

It's Endangered Species Day on May 16th. They're highlighting their Amur leopard Kalinika and focusing on the danger these cats face in the wild. Learn more about this big cat and take part in activities on this special Endangered Species Day.

It's Scout Day on May 17th. The Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts who arrive dressed in their scout uniform get free entry to the Binghamton Zoo.

It's their way to celebrate and support scouts in all that they do and learn. There will also be a TBD activity for scouts to earn a badge (no registration required but a small fee to participate).

The Run Wild 5k is May 23rd. Join the Binghamton Zoo at the Vestal Rail Trail for the 2nd annual Run Wild! Runners start at 10:00 am and walkers start at 11:00 am.

There will be 2 ZooMobiles and educational displays on the course. There will be a free kids run after the 5K.  This is a certified 5K with official results. Register here (search Run Wild 5K) or print and mail form here.

The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton, NY. They are open from 10am-4pm daily and the zoo closes at 5:00pm.
