Taste of Country Festival

When HAWK listeners look back on the Summer of 2014, I'm sure you will agree that there has been no shortage of concerts.  At yesterday's Spiediefest and Balloon Rally, we all enjoyed Cole Swindell and Kristen Bush of Sugarland along with  2 outstanding local talents, Kaitlyn Jackson and Cassidy Lynn.  Thanks to all the fans who came out to enjoy a great afternoon of music.

Excitement is building from HAWK fans for tomorrow's Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain.  In fact, I've talked to a lot of people that are there right now for the Thursday Camping Party, which is a new feature this year.

The Taste of Country Music Festival begins on Friday the 13th...It won't be bad luck if you're going to the event. 20 acts in 3 days on the mountain...Hunter Mountain. One of the acts is Nashville recording artist Rachel Lipsky. She and the band will be visiting the Hawk morning show on Friday.

I know lots and lots of HAWK listeners are heading to Hunter Mountain, New York for the biggest and best country music festival in the Northeast, the Taste of Country Music Festival.  As I'm writing this post, I see the weather is going to be very good, with just a chance for scattered showers on Friday but Saturday and Sunday look perfect with sun and temperatures expected in the low to mid 70's.

Anyone who listens to the Hawk Morning Show has heard me mention the name Charlie Worsham at least a couple dozen times. No, I'm not some crazy obsessed stalker. I recognize talent and a good thing when I hear it and want to tell the world.

HAWK fans are very excited about the 20 concerts coming to the Taste of Country Music Festival, next week, June 13-15th.  If you were there last year, you know what a country music fan dream experience this festival can be, combining established country artists with fresh new acts.  It's simply a blast and a half.

We are just a couple of weeks away from the 2014 Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain. Brad Paisley will be headlining the Saturday, June 14th show. It was 15 years ago this week that Brad burst onto the national scene and he hasn't slowed down.

Dierks Bentley is super hot right now.  This week alone, 98.1 the HAWK has had over 50 requests on the request line, Twitter and Facebook for 'Drunk On A Plane,' topping last week's top video request, 'Automatic' by Miranda Lambert.

It's a star packed lineup for the Northeast's first and only 3-day country music festival in the Northeast that features Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Hank Williams, Jr., Randy Houser, Thompson Square, Craig Morgan, Thomas Rhett, Tyler Farr, Eric Paslay, Charlie Worsham, Leah Turner, The Cadillac Three, Chase Rice, Blackjack Billy, Gwen Sebastian and Jamie Lynn Spears.

Taking a late lunch on the Vestal Parkway today, I couldn't help but hear the table in back of me talking about how excited they were that one day tickets to the Taste of Country Music Festival were going on sale Wednesday morning.
