Summer is starting to wind down, but that doesn't mean it's time to go into full on hibernation mode. There are still plenty of events happening in and around Binghamton, including the City of Binghamton's Brown Bag Lunch Series.
Years ago, I lived in Endicott on a quiet street surrounded by pizza shops. Most all of my neighbors were old world Italian including Joe who used to toss me tomatoes over his fence and who would give me Panettone each year for Christmas.
I hear all the time that there’s nothing to do in Binghamton, but the truth is that there is. Take Binghamton Live on the Waterfront for instance- a really fun summer event with arts, music and samplings from local food vendors and microbreweries.
“Sally sells seashells by the seashore.” Say that five times fast and then think about this: picking up seashells down by the seashore (or selling them, for that matter) is actually messing with your favorite beach’s ecosystem.
Last night's game between the Binghamton Mets and the Erie SeaWolves was postponed due to rain. They'll make it up as part of a doubleheader tonight with the first game starting at 5:35 PM. Tonight is also a first for the B-Mets.
