SUNY Broome Hosts ‘Citizens Voice’ Event Tonight

SUNY Broome’s Center for Civic Engagement will hold a “citizens’ voice” event on Tuesday, March 24, from 7 to 9pm in the Baldwin Gymnasium.  The purpose of the event is to give citizens an opportunity to offer their ideas for projects that the Southern Tier Economic Development Council might include in their final application of the upstate $500 million competition to promote economic development.

Susquehanna Gas Facility Explosion and Spill Results in Fine

An explosion at a natural gas drilling storage tank and a wastewater spill earlier this year in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania is resulting in a fine for the gas company.
