In my hands were dozens of Letters of Love for Sandy Hook sent in from Windsor Middle School here locally, Albemarle Road Elementary in Charlotte, NC, The Colony High School in Dallas, TX and the Lauralton Hall Key Club in Milford, CT

As you all have heard I have been running to and fro to pick up toys for Toys For Tots. I visited Harpursville, Greene and Chenango Fire Stations and was witness to the extreme generosity of our listeners and friends
Adopting a new cat or dog is a popular thing to do for the holidays.
The first Toys For Tots stop was pretty awesome yesterday. When I arrived I had toys and candy waiting for me! The Harpursville Fire Department guys were more than welcoming to me. They offered coffee and toys and free WiFi for my connection to the studio! While I was there Hawkins Homes dropped off toys and Bolden Hill Golf Course donated $200
We all had a great time at the ball this year for a great cause, The Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. The hospital that our little guest of honor was treated at, six year old Alicia. I was able to see friends I haven't seen in awhile, spending time with them was very awesome
Americans are very giving people. Charity donations appear to be up in the Greater Binghamton area. Thank goodness. National stats from last year show very good news for charities.

Today during common hour at 11am fifty student groups participated in the 16th annual Giving Of The Toys. An event to help fill in empty space under the less fortunate children of our area's Christmas trees
It seems that this year, there are more and more families looking for assistance to make this Christmas a little more happy for their families. Times are tough and fortunately, the region is lucky to have the support of the Binghamton Police Bureau and supporting Broome County Law Enforcement Agencies
