One of the things that I look forward to every year is the Dick's Sporting Goods Open. There are several players that I look forward to watching play. They include Fred Funk, Craig Stadler and Tom Watson. Well 2 more of my favorites have just committed.

If you happened to have heard shrieks of happiness 3 hours outside of Binghamton yesterday, you may have hearing the Florida Georgia Line busy in the Big Apple packing boxes and helping our Outnumber Hunger effort.

Want a night off from cooking dinner?  Tonight would be a great night to do so and you're helping out a wonderful cause.

HAWK fans of the Florida Georgia Line may want to program their DVR and TiVo for Wednesday morning at 11 so they don't miss Brian and Tyler on ABC's 'The View.'  If only Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goodberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy know what they are in for.  lol!

The CDC says that about 600,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year. Think that's not a lot of people? Think again! That adds up to one in every four deaths.

The statistics are staggering.  For 1 in 6 Americans, facing hunger is a reality.  That translates to nearly 13 million American families struggling with hunger each day.  In New York State alone, there are 2,757, 270 people that do not have access to nutritionally adequate foods.  That puts a lot of demand and attention on local food banks in the Greater Binghamton area every day.

It makes me very sad to think that in this day and age there are still kids who have to go to school without the supplies that they need.

With the Master's beginning today, the Dick's Sporting Goods Open has announced the first round of commitments to this year's event. It includes 3 past Master's Champions.

You know how when you want a juicy, meaty burger, you want it like yesterday? That's how I felt last night. I wanted a burger so badly that I could taste it in my mouth before I even knew where I was going for dinner.

How many times have you driven by SakÉ-Tumi on Court Street in Binghamton? If you're like me, probably several dozen, but have you ever stopped in? I hadn't either...until yesterday.

It was so great to get outside over the weekend, running in the Color Run on Sunday and breathing some fresh air the rest of the afternoon.  I was having a serious case of "cabin fever" and the weather this past Sunday had me searching for more to do outside in the Southern Tier.

The Greater Binghamton is a very giving community.  For 12 years now, Binghamton's Lourdes Hospital puts together some awesome gift baskets to benefit some outstanding charities in our community such as : American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Rescue Mission of the Southern Tier and the American Diabetes Association.
