Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood said that they wouldn't do anything to offend those in attendance at the 48th Annual CMA Awards, but they didn't say they wouldn't toe the line. And toe the line is exactly what they did in what some are calling the edgiest monologue in their seven years of hosting.

First up was George Strait. The pair sang about missing country’s king until Carrie noticed him in the front row. She spent a moment trying to convince Brad he wasn’t "gone" only to hear that she needed to let go. The tears seemed genuine at the beginning and I couldn't help but wonder if Carrie was emotional because of her pregnancy. She eventually pulled herself together.

After Brad learned the gender of Carrie's baby he joked about a nurse in Maryland who was refusing to follow quarantine after showing signs of the Ebola virus. Then Brad and Carrie turned Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ into ‘Quarantine.’

Postpartum Taylor Swift Disorder was the next epidemic Brad and Carrie took on saying, “I’ll be the first to say that President Obama does not care about Postpartum Taylor Swift Disorder". “That’s how Democrats lost the Senate,” Carrie chimed in, which received a loud applause from the audience inside Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

The hosts closed by calling Renee Zellweger a “master of disguise” and talking about Garth Brooks’ return to the stage. “Do you think he’ll sign my baby?”, Carrie asked before Brad let the secret of the night spill.
