Catch your Christmas spirit and bring the whole family to see Santa and his friends parade down Main Street in Johnson City this evening.

The Johnson City Business and Professional Women’s Holiday Parade kicks off at 7pm tonight, Thursday, December 3rd, with floats, local celebrities, live performances, marching bands, animated characters and more. The parade will kick off at Your Home Public Library and will follow Main Street to the Arch Street Bridge, ending at the Johnson City Senor Citizens Center on Brocton Street. The parade is expected to last about an hour and a half.

Main Street in Johnson City will be closed to all traffic from the Johnson City- Binghamton line to Arch Street starting at 6:45pm and will remain closed until the end of the parade. On-street parking on Main Street will be prohibited starting at 5:30pm until the end of the parade and starting at 6pm, access to Laurel Street will be limited until the end of the parade.

Also, the Village of Johnson City, the Johnson City Celebration Committee and Walmart present the 6th Annual Lights on the Carousel where kids of all ages can ride the CFJ Carousel and visit with Santa. The CFJ Carousel will be open from 5pm-8pm on December 4th and 5th, 11th and 12th and 18th and 19th.
