Big things are happening in Maine and they want you to be a part of it. Maine Fest is this Saturday, September 15th in the town of Maine and the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society would love to see you at their first annual event.

It features artists displaying and/or demonstrating their work along with musicians performing on porches throughout the village. This year’s event will feature a trolley ride through the village, kids activities, food and more.

They will highlight the works of local historical artist Clarence Stratton, in fact, the picture that you see above is a painting from 1968 of an art fair in the Town of Maine.

The Museum Buildings will be also be open for guided tours including: Nanticoke Valley Historical Society Janet W Bowers Museum,13 Nanticoke Rd; Schoolhouse Number 4, 14 Nanticoke Rd. and Pitcher’s Mill, 2819 NYS RTE 26.

The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society is a non-profit organization that was founded to preserve and showcase the History of the Valley with it's Museum, School House, Grist Mill and Carriage Barns.
