Cake Boss Star Visits Binghamton

In less than a year, we've had quite a few big names visit our town. There was Hugh Grant, Charlie Worsham, President Obama, Edward Herrmann, LeAnn Rimes, the guys from American Pickers and now comes word that Buddy Valastro of the TLC show 'Cake Boss' was just in Binghamton!

TLC has a new ‘Cake Boss’ spin off show that’s called ‘Bakery Boss.’ ‘Bakery Boss' premiered Memorial Day Weekend and features 'Cake Boss' star Buddy as he swoops in to provide valuable wisdom to a struggling bakery that needs help getting back on its feet and this is why Buddy was in town- he was filming for an upcoming episode.

The bakery in need of a little pick-me-up was Baked Euphoria in Endwell. Buddy came into town to film for the show, offering some advice to the bakery and then Bonnie and her staff at Baked Euphoria made an absolutely beautiful Binghamton themed cake featuring a moving carousel (that's the cake in the picture above!), which was served at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park during their Zoo Brew.

Baked Euphoria said through their Facebook page that they're revived and ready to take their business to new levels. I love their optimism and have no doubt that they'll make it happen. It's wonderful to see a local business take pride in what they do and have their sights set on sticking around for a long time to come.

The episode of 'Bakery Boss' featuring Baked Euphoria is expected to run sometime later this year.
