You've heard the saying, "This Bud's for You" and "God Bless America." Well this summer the two sayings are going to go together...sort of.

For over five years now, Budweiser would release special summer edition cans that had featured images like the American flag and the Statue of Liberty.

This summer, in honor of the presidential election and the Olympics, Bud is going patriotic and will change its name to "America."

Some may think that it'll be controversial but there is one thing that I like about it. Some schools don't do the Pledge of Allegiance anymore. There's even been discussions on whether or not the Star Spangled Banner should be played before sporting events because it may offend -- WHAT????

On the label of every can, Bud will have something special on it including the Pledge of Allegiance, the Star Spangled Banner, and even America the Beautiful.

It also doesn't hurt that one of the hottest movies this summer is "Captain America." It's going to be a patriotic summer and Bud hopes that you'll celebrate with "America" as well.
