Brothers Swap Same Birthday Card 40 Years In a Row
In 1973, a man gave his brother a Peanuts birthday card. What happened next is the ultimate act of recycling.
The front of the card features Linus saying, “This Is the Age of Ecology.” Inside, the message reads, “Don’t throw this card away… Recycle it to a friend.” And that's what these two brothers have done every year for more than 40 years.
The brothers have passed the card back and forth to each other for birthdays and while the card has gotten a bit worn and yellowed through the years, it still has life left and lots more room for signatures.
The brothers say that by reusing this card, they ended up not buying about 84 new cards through the years.
