Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A 37-year-old Johnson City man has been charged with two felony counts following a dispute with his wife.

Authorities say Matthew Britton is accused of entering his wife's residence and pointing an assault rifle at her. He allegedly threatened the woman with the gun.

According to Johnson City police, Britton was charged with first-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Britton was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
