Broome Catholic Charities on Close Up Saturday

Broome County Catholic Charities Director of Development, Ron Siwiec appears on Saturday's edition of the weekly, local public affairs show, Southern Tier Close Up, Sunday morning 5-5:15am on the HAWK.

Ron says most people are familiar with the work Catholic Charities does with emergency food programs, but may  not be aware of some other community support programs like mental health counseling.

Catholic Charities can't do it without community donations and has just started a major fund campaign.

Siwiec says the agency is very forth-coming in showing where donations go, directed to the programs of the agency. Contributions can also be designated for operating costs.

Ron encourages would-be donors to research Catholic Charities or other groups they may be thinking about giving to at www.charitynavigator.org.
