Brantley Gilbert is engaged. The 'Small Town Throwdown' singer shared on Tuesday morning (Oct. 21) that he's getting married to a girl he's written many songs about.

"I met this little girl 10 years ago. You’ll hear her in most of my songs," he shares, making the announcement during an interview with syndicated radio host Bobby Bones.

"Cause that girl’s in every song I sing / She’s in every song I write / And that six string ridin’ in her seat / Won’t keep me warm tonight," Gilbert sings in 'More Than Miles,' a song written about his new fiancee. They dated years ago, drifted apart and recently rekindled their romance.

"She was the one who got away for about five years," the singer adds. "I can honestly say I’ve never been happier."

It's the second engagement for the Georgia native, following a high-profile engagement to 'Love' singer Jana Kramer that ended in 2013. Since then, he's mostly stayed quiet about his personal life. He's always let his songs tell his story. At least once source says the song 'Hell on an Angel' from his 'Halfway to Heaven' album is about his new fiancee. Gilbert admits 'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' was written about this woman.

The wedding is planned for next June. She teaches at a school near Gilbert's house, something the singer said she plans to continue to do in the immediate future.
