Brad Paisley Reveals Release Date for New Album ‘Love and War’
Brad Paisley has finally announced the official release date for his much-anticipated new album, Love and War.
The record will drop March 3, and fans will at last get to hear all the interesting choices he’s been making lately with collaborations, as well as experimenting a bit with his style. The album will feature a duet with Mick Jagger, as well as some co-writing with Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty. But the most out-of-the-box pairing has to be hip-hop producer Timbaland.
“I wanted the collaborations on this record to be collaborations that took me outside of what you’d typically think and brought that other world into this, but it’s also very country,” Paisley says.
The Best Guitarists in Country Music
Paisley has already released a duet with pop star Demi Lovato, “Without a Fight,” which definitely skewed country, but had a fun edge with Lovato’s added powerhouse vocals.
“By the time the song leads to this loud ending … it needed to be the right female voice,” Paisley tells Taste of Country Nights. “It’s hard to have character when you can sing that high. But she does.”
His most recent single, the sentimental ballad “Today,” will also be featured on the record. It’s already reached the Top 15 at country radio. Love and War will be Paisley’s 11th studio album.
The artist also announced recently that he is releasing a new live DVD/CD combo featuring his Life Amplified Tour stop at West Virginia University, out Dec. 23. The show is slated to air Jan. 27, 2017 on PBS as well as part of its Brad Paisley — Landmarks Live in Concert: A Great Performances Special.
