Apparently we don’t have enough televised singing competitions because another one is about to make it’s debut next month. Pretty much the only thing I’m looking forward to is seeing Brad Paisley on the show.

Last week we heard a ton of rumblings that Brad would be joining Josh Groban (host) Kesha (expert) and Ludacris (expert) for ABC’s newest competition singing show called ‘Rising Star,’ but now we can confirm that the show has been picked up and that Brad is part of it.

According to EW, Rising Star hopes to completely reinvent the traditional singing competition by being the first ever interactive music competition with the audience having the final say in real time.

The show will follow a group of aspiring singers as they perform live. During the performances, viewers vote in real time via an App to determine if the singer will advance in the competition. If the voting reaches a certain threshold, the performer moves on. In addition, the performer can see how the voting is going throughout the performance, so the feedback is immediate and “dramatic.”

If you’re interested in checking it out, Rising Star will premiere Sunday, June 22nd on ABC.
