There's something about getting up out of bed or skipping slumber all together the day after Thanksgiving that makes me cringe a little.Then battling the crowds and such... I remember one year, shopping for our friends children in Toys-R-Us I had to use the men's room. It was totally blocked! All the people standing in front wouldn't move to let me by. Then later after getting to the potty and scoring the toys we wanted, we stood in the longest checkout line on the planet. It took over 2 1/2 hours to get to the register. Where I had front row seats to the story of a cashier who was out all night on Thanksgiving, drinking himself silly and came in to the store for work. We watched him go slowly, then leave the register unattended to go outside and get sick. Then we watched him go home and waited for a new cashier to arrive. The line was as long as a football field, snaking in and out of isles and we had one... lone cashier for at least 20 minutes.

Now Cyber Monday. You get up a little later. But have to have credit card in hand and get to clicking! I have personally had shipping go awry, wrong items sent, notifications that the item I bought was out of stock... NIGHTMARE! My father was the pioneer of our family with online Christmas shopping. He used Ebay constantly. He dealt with a few shady sellers over the last two years of his life as well. There were things he bought that never arrived. So...
