This year’s telecast has a certain excitement, especially with in the category of Best Actress, with all the heavy hitters sitting this one out. For the first time in many years, there’s not a big name like Meryl Streep in this category. But instead, there is a refreshing new list of nominees including: Jessica Chastain, “Zero Dark Thirty,” Jennifer Lawrence, “Silver Linings Playbook,” Emmanuelle Riva, “Amour, ” Quvenzhane Wallis, “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” and Naomi Watts, “The Impossible.”
