Saturday is International Red Panda Day and the Binghamton Zoo is celebrating and you're invited. You may remember that on June 11th, Mei-Li gave birth to twin red panda cubs but unfortunately one of them didn't make it.

Rowan survived and on Saturday, you'll have a chance to find out more about him. International Red Panda Day is a great way for people of all ages to learn about the importance of protecting red pandas.

They'll have special activities and crafts near the red panda exhibit. You've heard of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, well how about Pin the Stripes on the Red Panda's tail.

There will also be red panda Keeper Talks at 11 am and 1:30 pm with a red panda story time happening a half hour before each talk. You'll have a chance to find out more about Rowan.

Participate in handprint red panda drawing, a bamboo maze and more. The event goes from 10 am - 4 pm and the Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
