When Binghamton University's fall session resumes, there is one course being offered that has people asking for clarification.

The course is titled "StopWhitePeople2k16." and has more than a few people questioning the subject matter.  A number of media outlets have picked up the story including the Drudge Report and the Daily Wire.

According to the Binghamton Review, the school is instructing resident assistants on how to deal with "uneducated people" in racial situations. The course is said to "help others take the next step in understanding diversity, privilege, and the society we function within."

The Daily Caller reports that "the tax payer-backed school" believes with that description "privilege" may refer to "white privilege" as in race.

In response to the media attention, NewYorkUpstate.com reports that officials at the State University of New York at Binghamton say "the program's title is being used ironically and participants said there was no evidence it was "anti-white."

Dr. Harvey Stenger from BU will be on 'Binghamton Now' Friday morning (August 26) at 9:30am to talk more about this and more happenings at Binghamton University.  Listen to 'Binghamton Now' on our sister station, 1290-AM WNBF or listen live at WNBF.com.
